Philip raskin, M.D.

Dr. Philip Raskin is the Clifton and Betsy Robinson Chair of Biomedical Research and Professor of Medicine in the Department of Internal Medicine at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas. He also serves as Director of both the Diabetes Clinic and the University Diabetes Treatment Center at Parkland Memorial Hospital in Dallas.

Dr. Raskin is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism. He has been a member of several medical organizations, including the ADA, where he served on various national committees and held executive roles with the Texas affiliate. He is also a member of numerous medical associations including the American College of Physicians, the American Federation of Clinical Research, the Endocrine Society, the American Society of Clinical Investigation and the American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists.

Dr. Raskin is the recipient of many awards including the J. Denis McGarry Award presented by the ADA and has been listed in The Best Doctors in America. He also serves as the editor of the Journal of Diabetes and Its Complications and is on the editorial board of Clinical Diabetes.
